My bank won't connect or stopped syncing
Open the Banks tab: a bank that needs attention shows its status there. Tap it to reconnect - banks sometimes ask you to sign in again for security. If your bank isn't supported, add it as a manual bank and import CSV or PDF statements.
A transaction is in the wrong category
Tap the transaction and pick another category. You can apply it to every transaction from that merchant, or turn it into a rule so future ones are filed automatically.
Transfers between my own accounts show up as spending
BudgetBuddy pairs most transfers and card payments automatically and leaves them out of your totals. If one slips through, tap it and hide it - hidden transactions don't count anywhere.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen tap "Forgot password" and we'll email you a code to set a new one. If you signed up with Google, use "Continue with Google" instead.
The AI features aren't showing
The AI features are part of BudgetBuddy Premium. If you're subscribed and still don't see them, there's a daily limit per account - try again tomorrow, or contact us.
I'm not getting notifications
Check that notifications are allowed for BudgetBuddy in your phone's settings, and that the kinds you want are turned on in the app under Settings > Notifications.
How do I get my data out?
Use Export in the app to save your transactions or budgets as CSV (opens in Excel or Google Sheets), or everything as JSON.
Contact us
Email yskudilov@gmail.com, or send a bug report or feature request from Settings > Feedback in the app. It helps to include your device (e.g. Pixel 8, iPhone 15, Windows 11), your bank if it's about syncing, and what you were doing when the problem happened. Please never send us your bank password.
