Why did I spend more this month?
You spent $412 more than last month. Most of it is a one-off $1,299 Best Buy purchase - without it you're actually $887 under. Food & Drink is up $96, mostly Uber Eats (7 orders vs 3).
BudgetBuddy takes this month's income, subtracts the bills still to come and what you've set aside for goals, and tells you what's left - per day. Overspend in one category and you'll know before it becomes a problem.
Rent, subscriptions, card payments and paydays land on one calendar. The forecast shows your balance day by day for the next three months and warns you before it dips too low.
Take a photo of a receipt and BudgetBuddy fills in the merchant, date, total and category, then attaches it to the matching transaction - or adds a cash purchase for you.

On Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows.
It's free to download and use. BudgetBuddy Premium unlocks connecting banks, importing statements and the AI features. On the free plan you can earn extra bank syncs by watching a short ad.
Bank connections go through Plaid or Flinks, which are used by thousands of finance apps. You sign in to your bank with them directly - BudgetBuddy never sees or stores your online banking password, and it can only read your accounts, never move money.
Banks and credit unions across Canada, through Plaid and Flinks. If yours isn't supported - or you bank somewhere else - add it as a manual bank and import CSV or PDF statements instead.
When you use an AI feature, the details it needs to answer (for example the relevant transactions, budgets or the receipt photo) are sent to Anthropic's Claude to write the answer. Your name, email and bank login details are never sent, and the data isn't used to train AI models. See the privacy policy for the details.
Android, iPhone and iPad, and Windows PCs. Your data syncs between all of them through your account.
Yes. Pick your main currency and accounts in other currencies are converted using daily exchange rates.
